3D Skinmed Treatment
- Soft lifting without surgery after only one session!
- For those who are not yet ready for an operative facelift or want to delay the ageing process of their skin preventively.
- With the combined treatment with HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound), Radiofrequency and 3D Dermaroller RF, we can tone, tighten and lift loose skin in a non-invasive and non-surgical way.
The term HIFU or Ultrasonic Lifting is known in the UK under the name HIFU Lifting and is considered the new miracle weapon against wrinkles and sagging skin. The ultrasound lifting at Medical Cosmetics in Nottingham provokes a targeted tightening of the face, neck and décolleté and is also used especially for problem areas such as hanging cheeks, double chin, brow lift, Jowl line lifting, reduction of the nasolabial fold, slack cheek- and eye areas.
The new dimension of anti-ageing: the HIFU procedure
Ultrasound lifting with focused ultrasound has successfully made its mark on aesthetics in recent years.
However, the process itself has already been in use for much longer. Since the 90s, it has been used in oncology for the non-invasive treatment of tumours and valued for its precision and safety. Specially adapted to the needs and tissue layers of the skin, premium devices have been developed in recent years for use in aesthetics.
The HIFU method works entirely without syringes, needles, chemicals or radiation. The secret of the procedure lies in the ultrasonic used! In contrast to the conventional ultrasound used in cosmetics and physiotherapy, this is focused, i.e. the ultrasound waves are concentrated in a precisely defined depth in the target tissue. The focusing allows an optimal, on the so-called “focus point” (point of focusing, size about 1mmx1mm) limited, heating of the target tissue to about 50-70 degrees Celsius. The tissue outside the focal point remains completely intact. With Medical Cosmetics, in only one application, depending on the size of the treatment area, approximately 7,000 – 25,000 focus points are placed in different layers of the skin, including areas that otherwise could only be reached by invasive surgery.
HIFU Lifting – What happens in the skin?
During treatment, there is a short-term, precisely controlled heating of the target tissue within the focus points. The heat-labile bonds within the collagen molecule can break up, and the fibres are shortened (collagen shrinking). Following treatment, the tissue regenerates extensively. Also, the new formation of collagen and elastin can be stimulated.
Using multipolar electrodes, radio waves create a controlled heat field below the skin surface. At the same time, the upper skin layer is being cooled. This leads to the “shrinking” effect – a compression of the skin’s collagen fibres. The result is usually a significant tightening of the skin in the treatment area. The long-term effect is particularly advantageous: The connective tissue fibres are restructured as a result of this “lifting without scalpel”. The skin smoothing process continues for weeks and months after treatment. The result can last for several years – long after radiofrequency therapy has been performed for skin tightening.
ADVANTAGES OF RADIOFREQUENCY TREATMENTS
The treatment can alleviate “hamster cheeks”, “hanging cheeks”, “turkey neck.”
- The skin on the abdomen, thighs and bottom can be smoothed.
- No surgery – no scars
- First effects mostly after two weeks
- Long-term result visible after 4-6 months
A lift without scalpel with thermal lift usually runs very gently and takes place on an outpatient basis. In addition to cooling the skin surface, an anaesthetic gel reduces the sensation of pain. First effects of skin smoothing occur after two weeks on average. The long-term tightening of the treatment region usually takes effect after 2 to 6 months. Except for mild redness, which usually goes back after a short time, no unwanted effects are expected using the radiofrequency treatment.
3D Dermaroller RF
This specialist treatment combines the minimally invasive Dermaroller micro-needles with controlled radio frequency (RF) energy.
With this combination, the reconstruction of the skin is stimulated, the body’s own repair mechanisms are activated, connective tissue cells are activated, which in turn form collagen, lymphatic and blood flow are boosted, and pigment cells can find their place in the scar tissue again. The skin is “tidied up”, so to speak. The session is minimally painful – before the treatment, a local anaesthetic will be applied in the form of an ointment.
Each one of these fantastic treatment options can also be used individually to target specific skin problems.
Exceptional results require extraordinary methods:
In order to always get the very best out of your 3D Skinmed treatment, we work with a maximum of the so-called “focus points”, which regenerate the deep structures of your skin. During your treatment session, we not only use different depths but work each area several times, at different angles, so that we can set a dense network of focus points in your skin!
